It's that time of year again! Everyone is slashing a few bucks here and there off of prices and we FOMO ourselves into a frenzy and spend way more than we usually would because we're retarded.

What have you bought for Black Friday so far? Yes, places started doing "Black Friday" sales like a week before the actual day, if not earlier. Here's where I'm at so far:

  • new Router $70
  • Gran Turismo 7 $30
  • Katamari ReRoll $20
  • Persona 5 Royal $20
  • Red Dead Redemption remaster $30
  • Saints and Sinners Ch 2 $16
  • Moss 2 $16

Black Friday Pick ups:
Maneater Apex Edition £9.95
Miasma Chronicles £22.95
Dying Light 2 £12.99
Crew Motorfest £15.99 after using £20 employee of the month gift card :p
Lego 2K drive Awesome Edition £29.98
Jojo Bizarre adventure (free due to reward points at TGC)

Nothing overly exciting really.

You're speaking my language there. That game is so damn good. When it came out on PSVR2, it came with a bundle option that had all the DLC up to that point. So I grabbed that and have then bought every DLC course after too.

Its my go to app on Quest 3. While I enjoy the "deeper" games that are offered, stuff like Rez4 and Asguards Wrath, I find VR to be most fun with pick up and play stuff.

Moss 1 and 2 and the walkabout mini golf bundle. I decided that I NEED to use the VR2. I was thinking bout Gran Turismo but I don't know how using a controller would be in VR.

Man, GT7 is pretty damn cool. I totally wanted to go completely insane and get the wheel and pedals and all that before playing it, but I know the reality for me is that even if I played it like a madman for 3 months, now I gotta find a spot to store the giant racing wheel setup lol

Plus the controller feels fantastic IMO . Some of the best haptics usage.

Jeeez. I may just have to grab it. I'm the same way, I like driving games but not nearly enough to get the whole setup. And yeah, knowing my fickle ass, I'd play it for 10 mins with all that shit.

Well, my 5950 CPU kicked the bucket and I missed the warranty period by three weeks. (11/5 purchase at launch).

So I had to make an impromptu PC upgrade. I have incoming on Friday from Newegg's black friday deals:

7800x3d
Gigabyte Aouros B650 Motherboard
32 GB of DDR5
4TB Western Digital Black SSD

So around ~$850 spent. FJB

Also picked up the Turbo Everdrive Pro now that the Analogue Duo is shipping soon. Keeping my fingers crossed it will work on the Duo since Analogue still has confirmed support which is kinda of ridiculous considering how close we are to launch.

Btw the Epic Games Store has 33% on everything that costs more than 14,99 when you use the voucher.

PC
Afterimage - $7

Switch
Baten Kaitos I & II HD Remaster - $35 - Been waiting a very long time for this game to come to a modern platform after hearing of it being one of the few but really good JRPGs on the GameCube alongside Tales of Symphonia, very excited to finally be able to play it. It was interesting to find out that this was a prior Monolith Soft title, and had later influence on the Xenoblade Chronicles trilogy.

Do Skies of Arcadia remaster/remake Sega, I can assure you it will get you far more goodwill and profit then NFTs or Hyenas.

PS5
Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade - $15
Remnant: From the Ashes - $15
Persona 4: Golden: $12

I think I'm set until Winter Sales and that's if they are as good or better then the ongoing Fall/Black Friday ones (possible for some games, unlikely for most unfortunately.)

Really tempted to grab afterimage, love a good metroidvania, it's £15.99 physical ATM.

I would also love a skies of arcadia remake 🤞

The amazon retard delivered my router to the wrong apartment address. The photo had the number cut off, but I was able to use the wreath and the doormat in the photo to figure out who it was. Turns out, neither of the 2 boxes in the delivery photo were from my package.

So this guy somehow marked that delivery as mine, took a pic, made sure to cut off the address, and then likely handed my package off to some other random address that's not even in the photo. What a retard

Put about 2 hours into walkabout mini golf. Damn that's a fun game!!! Also played Moss for a couple hours. HOLY SHIT. What a magical experience. This is the type of game that convinces people to adopt VR, and painfully cute mice.

There is a pill for this.

I live in America. I can't afford pills.

Walkabout is the killer app for VR. Change my mind.

I played the OG moss when it first hit PSVR. I need to play it again along with the sequel.

To me, what's still the all time GOAT of all time for VR is Resident Evil 7. If you played that in VR right when it came out and you didn't know anything about it already, you know what I'm talking about. It was the scariest game I had ever played and then it was also a full AAA videogame in VR right at the launch of the headset. It was so damn good.
