I don't trust this. Not in today's no comedy allowed climate.
First thing I did was say a prayer that it's not super woke.
It all depends on who the writers are. First few seasons were much better than the Comedy Central revival.
Cast back is great, but it's the writer's room that's going to matter and whether they are able to get the original people or whether they get shunted through the HR quota system.

Yeah I don't trust any current year TV shows (Or media, really) until I've checked them out myself. King of the Hill returning has me wary as well.
I watched them all. While I will admit, the new stuff was pretty funny as the cadence of jokes was sped up to keep with teh times. It also felt like the had taken a focus group and asked what they liked about Futurama and wrote to that. If they do that again, it will be like a copy of a copy.
I actually just rewatched them all again late last year and by the movies I was pretty over it. But hell, ill give this re-re-reboot an episode to see if it still zings.

Good news everyone! Those asinine morons who were going to recast John DiMaggio were themselves fired for incompetence, and not just fired, but beaten up too, and pretty badly. In fact most of them died from their injuries and then they were ground up into a fine pink powder.

Watched a few episodes of Futurama back in the day and thought some of them decent, if not outright brilliant (the Amok Time parody with Zoidberg was hilarious and the one about Fry's dead brother really got to me). It was way more fun than Groening's recent show Disenchantment, which I found boring.
Ironically, Futurama is the reason why The Simpsons descended into crap as time went on. As Groening yanked all the good writers from that to work on this show. Unfortunately, Futurama wasn't the hit Fox was hoping for, as it was always beat by Family Guy, which always pissed off Groening to no end. Especially since Fox would continue to push Family Guy and canceled Futurama after 7 seasons.

Hope its funny. Last run of the show was pretty hit or miss for me. None bad, just some had me laugh and some didnt.
Disenchantment was weird as it was not an independent episodic format. So unless you watched it in a binge way, you could miss some low hanging joke. At least it wasn't woke and a future futurama episode named about Zapp being cancelled might actually might make fun of it.

I disagree, Rogu and the frankanstein kid are such bad characters. Plus American Dad never had one emotional episode. Though my favourite episode remains Move Over Isla Island. The ending of that episode is perfect.

Futurama is more try-hard cringe than "emotional." AD's had a good number of epic episodes.. and some genuinely heartfelt.

The last two seasons weren't even fine and they aired a decade ago. This will not be fine. "Rage Against the Vaccine" ffs. Should've just let it die.
Futurama only had two good emotional episodes anyway. Moments in otherwise typical episodes, really.
I liked many episodes of the last two seasons. To each their own! Meanwhile was amazing. Saturday Morning Fun Pit is a classic.

The last two seasons weren't the same futurama, it was more the characters of futurama ramped up to 10, put in different situations. The last season was one of the best tbh.

Please don't be shit. Not sure if mentioned already but Bender is coming back with the correct voice artist, which wasn't a certainty for a while.
On American Dad - the early series are great tbh but then they kinda forget what makes the show and turn Stan into a typical sitcom retarded dad. No thanks. But some episodes were just amazing.
