I've never seen the live-action one but usually an animated video game film is more interesting to me, even though there hasn't been one I've really liked since Resident Evil Degeneration.

And that's fine. Kids movies should be for kids. Trying to adult up kid products can lead to stuff like Kevin Smith's Masters of the Universe.

I thought that looked pretty good. Visually super impressive. But the tone looked on point for what a modern SMB movie (targeting the family) would deliver.

It was nice. Bowser's voice is great. Pratt sucks a bit, but doesn't tank the movie. But why can't we have a Zelda-movie made like that instead? :/

Looks like it might end up being a decent kids movie. If I had any children I'd consider taking them to see it, barring any yet unforeseen circumstances, of course.

Looked alright to me. It's visually consistent with the games which you can thank Nintendo's iron control over their properties after the 90s Super Mario Bros movie bombed. Don't know if it'll be a good movie but after the surprising success of the two Sonic the Hedgehog films I'm pretty sure Nintendo want a good movie under their belt.
Chris Pratt doesn't sound like Mario from the games, but that's no deal breaker for me. I just want him to be funny like he was as Emmett in The Lego Movie. Plus the fact that his mere presence triggers the SJWs has me wishing for the success of this film. And color me impressed with Jack Black as Bowser. It sounds nothing like him.
